The Italian Riviera/Sample Itinerary: Seven Days
Day 1: Naples - Ponza
Fly by private jet to Naples. Limousine transfer to the Sannazzaro Marina in the Bay of Naples where you embark your
yacht. Relax with a welcome drink and then cruise directly towards the Pontine Islands. Drop anchor while you take dinner
on board, taking in the exceptional views.
Day 2: Ponza
Wake up in Ponza. After breakfast explore this ancient island. Ponza is the largest of a sequence of volcanic islands, the
others being Ventotene and Santo Stefano to the east and Gavi, Zanone and Palmarola to the west. Ponza's jagged coastline
is a mosaic of colored volcanic rock and its waters are some of the clearest and most pleasurable for swimming in Italy.
Day 3: Ponza - Ischia
After breakfast, cruise to Ischia, arriving by noon. Have lunch on board and then explore this remarkable volcanic island.
The hot mineral springs have attracted people seeking cures since Roman times. Visit the island's highest peak - Mount Epomea.
The sea of vineyards encircling this peak produce an excellent wine named after the mountain and the villages on its slopes.
Day 4: Ischia - Capri
Early in the morning set off for Capri. Spend the day exploring the island, relaxing on board or swimming in one of the many
sheltered bays. We recommend the Capri Palace Hotel for dinner. Spend the night in port.
Day 5: Capri - Positano
From Capri, set off for Positano. Have lunch on board before exploring this quaint village with its winding stairways, enchanting
back streets and plenty of boutiques. Take dinner perhaps at the Hotel San Pietro or Le Sirenuse, both having a wonderful scenic
and romantic setting high up on the cliffs.
Day 6: Positano - Amalfi
Continue a gentle cruise to Amalfi along the coastline of the Gulf of Salerno. Situated on beautiful limestone cliffs, this
picturesque town is a small fishing port and tourist resort and the seat of an archbishop. Drop anchor a little way out of
Amalfi and take dinner on board whilst contemplating the beautiful views.
Day 7: Amalfi - Sorrento
Cruise back to Sorrento, the splendid and famous holiday resort, situated on a terrace rising steeply above the sea on one
of the most spectacular points of the Campanian coast. Because of its enchanting position and mild climate, sheltered by
the surrounding hills, Sorrento has been a favorite resort since Roman times, and it became an elite tourist resort from
the eighteenth century. Picturesque bays and beaches are reached by steps and narrow alleys, which offer panoramic views.
Day 8:
After a leisurely breakfast sail gently back to Naples for disembarkation.
